Nora Sharp

Nora Sharp is a wildly talented, uninhibited artist and community activist who works in Chicago and New York. I first encountered Nora when she performed one of her radically interdisciplinary performances Small Boobs, at the Midwest Regional Alternative Dance Festival (RAD Fest), in Kalamazoo, MI. Nora says about her work, that it “incorporates dance, sound, video, and comedy, among other tools, and reflects my lived experience as a queer white midwestern millennial, along with my interest and skill set in mutually nourishing group facilitation.” Nora Sharp was a guest in DEARTS in 2019 and 2020, just shy of the pandemic. A memorable moment in class was when a young woman asked what pronoun she prefers. Nora’s response: “Dealer’s choice.”
